Mr Mohammed Absar is a Breast Oncoplastic Surgeon working within a busy breast unit in Manchester, where he also serves as Clinical Director of Breast Surgery and Research Lead, as well as Pathway Board Director for Breast Surgery across Greater Manchester. This combination of senior leadership and hands-on surgical practice reflects the depth of his expertise.
He has extensive experience in cancer surgery — including immediate and delayed reconstruction and oncoplastic resection — and undertakes complex cosmetic surgery for asymmetry, alongside breast augmentation and reduction. Mr Absar completed his higher surgical training under the North Western Deanery between 2002 and 2008, achieving his FRCS in General Surgery in 2007, and spent a further year at Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge to deepen his oncoplastic skills.
