Patient Stories- Breast Uplift
Real people, real choices. The experiences of patients who chose surgery for themselves — in their own words.
Every journey is personal, and no two are the same. Here, some of our patients share what led them to their decision, what the experience was like, and how our team supported them along the way. We’re grateful to everyone who has chosen to share their story to help others feel informed and reassured.
Breast Uplift
by Mr Sharif at Greater Lancashire Hospital
After having children, my body changed in ways I never expected. While I’m incredibly grateful for my children, pregnancy and breastfeeding left me feeling like I had lost confidence in my body, especially when it came to my breasts. They had lost volume and shape, and no matter how much I exercised or looked after myself, it wasn’t something I could change naturally.
After spending months researching and thinking carefully about my options, I decided to have a breast uplift. It was one of the biggest decisions I’ve ever made, but looking back, it was absolutely the right one for me.
From my very first consultation, I felt listened to and supported. Everything was explained clearly, including what the surgery involved, the recovery process, and what I could realistically expect from the results. I never felt pressured, and having all my questions answered gave me confidence that I was making an informed decision.
The surgery itself went smoothly, and although recovery wasn’t always easy, it was much more manageable than I had imagined. The first few weeks required plenty of rest and patience, but every week I could see improvements. Following the aftercare advice made a huge difference to my healing.
Now that I’m fully healed, I couldn’t be happier with my results. My breasts look natural, lifted, and much more in proportion with my body. More importantly, I feel like myself again. I have so much more confidence wearing clothes, swimsuits, and underwear, and I no longer feel the need to hide my body.
For anyone considering a breast uplift after having children, my advice would be to do your research, choose a surgeon you trust, and make the decision for yourself—not for anyone else. Cosmetic surgery is a very personal choice, but if it’s something you’ve been thinking about for a long time, it can genuinely have a positive impact on your confidence and quality of life.
